For Halloween, 2005, Patrick dressed as Harry Potter and
Jarod dressed as Lord Voldemort. Their friend Jordan came over
dressed up as a parrot, I think. As usual, I set up the house
with all the decorations I've collected over the years, plus
whatever more I'd added to it for the current year. I got a
new fog machine this year to replace the one that broke for 2004.
Looking back over the pictures from the last few years, I realize
you've never seen what I look like all dressed up. This year
was particularly frightening for the kids. In my opinion, the
costume is only half of it. A lot of it has to do with the
acting. Scary is something I do well. ;-)

This is how I dressed up during the day. I went to work
like this. The face paint wasn't too bad once you got used
to it. |

Jarod, Jordan and Patrick getting ready to head out on their
candy raid. |

Patrick's been zombie-fied by Jarod's evil magic. |

Ooh! I'm starting to get some competition. I might
have to step it up for 2006. |

Damn, I guess fog and strobe lights are old n' busted now. |

This is one of the kids who lives next door to us. He
dressed up as a girl... sorta. He just made sure he had
really big boobs. I think his older sister helped. |

The family pumpkin patch. |

This is a pretty decent shot of the outside of my house.
That zombie in the grass is supposed to scream and tear its head
off when you walk by it, but it's not sensitive enough. |

And this is what the kids have to get past to get their candy.
Once again, the Obi-Wan Kenobi robe of 2000 is the base. I
really wish it was black now. I might dye it for 2006.
The mask is new. I think it works. ;-) |
