A few days after Thanksgiving, we decided to take the MAX downtown and see the big Christmas tree in Pioneer Square.  We strolled around a bit, had a bite to eat, and took some more pictures before heading home.  You can see the kids in front of each of the 12 Days of Christmas window displays done by Meier & Frank each year.

In an area that is normally a fountain, they put a bunch of regular sized Christmas trees.  Here's the gang in front of them.

Those little specks under the tree... are my family.  :-)  I think Washington D.C. got its tree from Oregon this year.

If you think this tree is big, the one in DC is *much* bigger.  I estimate this tree at about 52 feet based on some precise mathematical modeling (detailed in this picture).  But the one in DC is 70 feet tall!!!

Now, here are the 12 Days of Christmas!!!
On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...

(Before anyone gives me grief, there are many versions of the 12 Days of Christmas.  This is just what Meier & Frank had in their windows.)
