At the very end of August and some of September, we flew down to LAX for a multi-purpose vacation.  The primary intent was to attend the wedding of my friends Clara and Mahesh, with whom I went to RPI.  But since we were going to be in the area, we decided to spend some time at Disneyland again... and we added a day at Knott's Berry Farm as well!  We had a lot of fun and got to ride some of the things that we missed last time, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  The kids loved that a lot.  Knott's was OK, but we didn't see all of the park, because the day was a bit rushed and Jarod fell ill.  About the only complaint I had about the whole event was this damn cricket that got into the walls of our room and chirped all night long.  Drove me nuts.  :-)

This is our first day at Disneyland.  The night before was late as we didn't get to our hotel until 11pm or so.  But, we still had a great day at the park.  Not too many pictures from this day.  The kids were easing into it.

Um, not sure who that is.

Here's the family in Tarzan's treehouse.

Back down on the ground under the tree house.

This was our big day in Disneyland.  We're well rested and have a full day.  We also went to Disney's California Adventure (DCA) just to make sure we saw everything.

This is in DCA.

This is in a huge jungle gym play area for kids... like what you see in a Burger King or something, but about 1,000x larger.  And that's Chip!

We rode this merry-go-round last time.  You know, it's called a merry-go-round and not a carousel, because a carousel has only horses.

One of my very good friends from college, Clara, got married on this day.  She married her boyfriend from college, Mahesh, who I know only somewhat.  Her wedding was the real reason for the trip and it was well worth it.  I was so happy to see her again and I have to say, I have never seen two people more in love.  Congratulations Clara and Mahesh!

Here is Clara and her father, starting their walk down the aisle.

At the altar.  By the way, this is on a boat.

After all the marrying is done, we're back topside playing games, singing songs and having a great time.

We decided to try Knott's Berry Farm on our last day.  It seems like a nice park, but it's definitely not as kid oriented as Disneyland.  It tries to find a middle-ground.  We didn't see the whole park either... Jarod got sick and we went back to the hotel and then returned again later.  Only 2 pictures and a movie, but it was fun!
