Our trip to Boston was a bit different in 2004.  Instead of 3 weeks for them and the one middle week for me, they just went for 2 weeks and I didn't bother.  It worked out well for me, but Amy felt it was a bit short.  Even so, she and the kids had fun and got to see just about everyone.

Amy and I went to high school with a girl named Michelle Blank.  She was a year younger than us, but she and Amy were good friends for a long time.  Michelle has since moved to Texas with her boyfriend (husband?), but they were back in Boston at the same time and arranged a visit.

Couple of different items on the 18th... apparently a lunch or dinner with Amy's family and some Children's museum action maybe?  (This is what I get for not going... I have no idea about some of the pictures that come back.)

Here are a couple of videos of them sitting around the table:

Here's a video of them bouldering around that wall to the left...

On this day, Amy and the kids visited with my family (mother's side).  Looks like they went out to eat at Bertucci's and later went back to Glenda's house.

This picture is from later on that night back at Amy's parent's house, but it was nice so I included it.

Grandma (Liz), Diane, Glenda, Jarod and Mark.

There's grandma and her grandsons... so cute.

Glenda, Jarod, Mark, Patrick and Jan.

On the 20th, there was a get-together at my father's house.  It was mainly my immediate family, but my Aunt Chris and her wife Glenda came over with their brood as well.  Afterwards, they went back to Amy's parents house and then out for some food.

My dad, my brother, my son, my brother, my son.

Oh, and the rabbit... forgot the rabbit.

My brother's then-girlfriend Karen is on the left... obviously.

And the last couch shot: my sons and brother... and Sam & Gabe join the group!

Dunkin' Donuts.  Oh how I miss the Dunkin' Donuts.  Somehow they're just not popular in OR.

Elaine is here in the middle between Karen and Dan.

My father holds his newest niece, my cousin, Annie Rose, sister to Sam & Gabe.  She is about 4.5 months old in that picture.

Here she is again with mom, Glenda.

Yu-Gi-Oh!
Here's a short vid of Patrick taking a swing.

Patrick Baseball
(1.40MB AVI)

After all that baseball, uncle Mike is a tired fellow.

Here's Patrick just chillin'.  Just like Mike!

Eventually the kids got up some energy and went for a ride.

They're using Peter's old bikes.  They did very well given the size.
And here's a special treat... my father showing off.  ;-)

They got new baseball mitts from either my brother or father.

They're quite nice and we use them still today.

Here's Patrick and Po Po entranced by something.

These are Amy's brothers Al and Allen... both really nice guys.

OK, Allen's a bit nutty...

You don't see many farms in the Northeast... at least, not where I'm used to hanging out.  But apparently there's this one.  And my mom brought the kids.  Later they retired to the pool by their apartment.  Looks like fun!

Apparently these animals get a lot of visitors.  Check out this video:

Here they come...

Amy and the kids went with Po-Po and Gung-Gung up to Old Orchard Beach, Maine.  Looks like they had a great time!

"Portland" Fire.  Heh.  ;-)

June 26
Another visit to my father's house.  Some more baseball and another visit with my grandmother Rita... the boys' great-grandmother!

June 27
The kids went fishing with Amy's family!  I'm not sure where this is or if they caught anything, but apparently it was quite the experience.

June 28
Looks like the kids were in downtown Boston and met up with both my family and Amy's family.

That's my aunt Joan in the middle.

And there are the boys with Elaine.  I have no idea where this was.

These are the Boston Duck Tours.  Amphibious vehicles take you around town and then into the water.  You can see Amy's mom behind Jarod.

Amy's dad and two brothers are on the tour with them.

Looks like they're outside the Museum of Science here.

June 29
Amy took the kids by Somerville High School for a quick picture.  The banner on the right shows that the school is 152 years old.  That's older than the state of Oregon.  ;-)
