We once again performed our annual trip to Boston during the summer of 2005.  This one was the standard 3 weeks for them, 1 week for me in the middle (though my week was more towards the front this time).  I liked the daily format of 2004's post, so I'm doing it again for 2005.  Enjoy...

June 30
Amy and the kids checked out the new restaurant in the family.  Amy's parents closed down their restaurant a while ago, but the family of Amy's cousin Lisa started up one called "Jade Pacific" located in Lynn, MA.

Po-Po, Uncle Allen, Auntie Lisa, Jarod, Patrick, Uncle Al and Amy

Here's the family with Lisa's mom.

July 2
On this day, my college friend Luis got married to Amanda.  That was the primary reason I returned to Boston.  We left Jarod & Patrick with my father for the day.  Some of these pictures make me realize I need to make a family tree.  My kids are getting confused... ;-)

Here I am in my father's kitchen.  We dropped off the kids, had breakfast and then took off for the wedding.  You can see my father, Annie, Glenda, Elaine and Chris.

This is the receiving line after the ceremony.  Amanda's hugging a guest while Luis looks on.  I believe the girl next to Luis is Amanda's sister.

The reception was at Kowloon's.  We got a picture of all the RPI grads together... Lisa, Eric, me, Luis, Scott, Jeff and Steve.

Sue and Scott had to leave early for a trip to NY.  This was my first time meeting Sue, but I don't think I got a chance to say more than one word to her.

While we were gone, the kids hung out.  Here's my cousin Annie wearing my shades.

Jarod & Patrick hanging with my cousins Sam & Gabe.

My brother Peter played them some music on his electric guitar.

July 4
We were invited to a farm in NH for the 4th of July.  It was a massive gathering of Chinese people.  I'm not exactly sure of the connection other than that.  The food was fantastic and there was plenty to do with animals, a pool and tons of people to say hi to.  We played a game of baseball too.

Patrick's petting a horsie.

And Lisa is too...

The white horse was beautiful.

Awwwww...

There's Al... in a pretty cool photo.

The kids played for a long time in the pool.  I didn't bring swim trunks.

But when they really wanted to dive, I ran inside, grabbed some scissors and converted my jeans into swim trunks.

Watch the video of them diving!

After the baseball game, the kids had a bit more food, hung out with Po-Po and then we headed home.  It was a great day.

July 5
Looks like the boys went fishing with Uncle Al and Cousin Andy on this day...

July 7
Ooh!  A visit with Michelle, a friend of ours from high school.  They saw her last year as well, which is pretty unexpected since she actually lives in Texas or something like that.  Just good luck, I guess!

July 8
Man, these kids are lucky.  Here they are with Po-Po and Uncle Al at some kind of museum thing... I'm guessing the children's museum in Boston.

July 9
Yet another fun filled day.  Here they are making the rounds in downtown Boston.

With Po-Po on the swan boats in the Public Garden.

Guess they liked the horse.

Another horse... :-)

The "make way for ducklings" ducks.  I think they sit on them every time they go back to Boston.

I wonder if they stopped in for a beer...

Isn't it nice to spend some quality time with Po-Po?

July 10
I never had this much fun as a kid.  I don't even know where this is, but it had everything!  A water park, riding activities and animals!  Here's a little video compilation of the activities they did (2.70MB WMV).

July 13
These pictures had me confused at first.  They're all on the same day, but I was fairly certain that some of them were in the ocean while others seemed like a pond.  I confirmed with Amy and it's true.  The ocean was too cold, so they went to a nearby pond instead.  :-)

Ocean... with Patrick, grandpa, Peter and Patrick.

Ocean!

Ocean!

Here's Peter once they got to the pond.

Pond!

Pond!

Peter's a fantastic uncle!

Pulling around his nephews... how fun!

I bet these guys were water logged and tired after such a long day.

July 16
More fun in the ocean, this time with Amy's family.

Here are Patrick and Jarod playing with their cousin Andy.

With mom... so cute!

I think Andy is intentionally goofy when the kids are around.  His a great cuz.

Oh, Lisa was there too!  She has food in her mouth in every picture I have.  You'd never know it...

Uncle Al, Po-Po and the gang.

I know for sure they were tired at the end of this day... or is this staged?!  I think it is...

July 20
I can't believe how lucky these kids are...

Behind home plate at Fenway.  Patrick must've been particularly excited.

It was so hot that day some of the Sox in the bullpen were spraying the crowd.

July 22 (and other random dates)
Looks like they made one last trip to the pond with my dad.  They also got to see their great-grandmother Rita again.  And there are some other random pictures I threw in here too...

Sand... lumps?  I'm sure they were just castles in-progress...

Here they are with grandpa on the life guard chair.

Here's the gang with grandpa and Peter and also great-grandma Rita.

Here they are with their only other great-grandparent, Amy's father's mother, Baht-Baht.

I guess Po-Po even got the kids to do the dishes.  Slave labor for the win!

And here they are with grandma and my aunt Jan.
