As we seem to do every year, we headed out to Boston in July.  Same as last year, Amy & the boys spent 3 weeks there and I visited for the middle week.

July 9
On their first full day in Boston, Amy & the boys did lots of stuff...

There's a park in Davis Sq. where they hung out for a while with uncle Al.

The park's been completely rebuilt since I was a kid.  Here they are hamming it up.

Taking a break after playing in the park.

Krispy Kreme opened their first store in Dunkin' Donuts territory.  Here's Patrick eating his donut.

Where's Jarod's donut?  I bet that's what he's thinking.

Amy's cousin Lisa went with them to the store and grab a bunch for herself.

Here's Jarod with his cousin Alex.  Looks like they got Charmander as a gift!

Cousin Andy is having fun with the boys!

They went by Amy's parents' restaurant "Yee's Village."  It is now sold and is no longer there!

July 11
Amy met with my father (Dan) and aunt (Chris) at a playground so our kids could hang out.

Here's Sam (my aunt's kid) with Patrick and Jarod... and Peter in the back (my father's kid).

Patrick and Jarod are trying their best to get Peter... but he's too quick!

Here's my aunt's other kid Gabe with the rest of them and my father.

July 14
The kids went with Po Po to the Public Gardens!

Here they are walking through the park.

They made it to the swan boats and went for a ride.

Make way for ducklings!

July 15
They met up with my mom and her husband and played at a park for a while.  Then they grabbed some food at Chuck E. Cheese's.

I think Donald has seen better days.

I think my mom got robbed of some tickets.

All 4 of them skee-ballin'!

July 16
This was the first full day I was there.  Amy's parents took us and some of Amy's family out to dinner at a Japanese restaurant.  We got to sit in one of the private rooms.  It was really nice.

Allen and Al... Amy's brothers.

Alex and Lisa... Amy's cousins.

John and Anna... one of them is Amy's cousin... can you guess?

Here I am with Patrick.

And there's Amy & Jarod.

And there's Jarod with Amy's mom... and her dad's in the back.

July 17
We had a really full day on the 17th.  We left the Japanese restaurant the night before and immediately drove to my dad's house in Canton.  When we woke up, we went for a short hike up the Blue Hills.  When we returned to his house, family members were there to greet us.

Here's Patrick, Peter and Jarod getting ready to hike up the hill.

Me and my dad... he looks... stunned.

Grampa shepherding the boys.

At the top, there's a tower that you can walk up in.

Patrick and Jarod both got to see a pretty cool view of Massachusetts.

Since we were visiting in the month between their two birthdays, they had a cake!

There's Peter with his cousins.

And that's a big chunk of Breslin right there.  Notably, my grandmother Rita... great grandmother to Jarod & Patrick... is on the left.

July 18
The next day, we went to a nearby lake and played in the water with grampa.

July 19
I finally got a little treat during my "vacation" and got to see my college friends at a BBQ.

This is the host of the BBQ, Eric.

My kids spent a lot of time swinging in the comfy hammock.

Eric, Luis and Jeff chatting away.

Jarod & Patrick were ready to play bocce ball!

Watching the ball roll... away from the palino.

Here you have a gathering of 7 RPI graduates... and 2 future alums.

July 20
Continuing our non-stop crazy vacation, we drove up to Maine to visit my aunt Jan and her husband Larry.  My aunt Glenda, my mother and her husband Eddye and my brother also joined.

Me, my bro and my kids.

There was a piņata!  Patrick took a whack at it...

then Jarod...

then me...

and finally Eddye.  Candy for everyone!

It also happened to be my aunt Janice's birthday.

And we got in a few family pics... us with gramma...

with my aunt Glenda...

and with my aunt Jan and Larry.

July 24
Although I am currently extremely pissed at the Red Sox (Grady and Martinez in particular), the boys got a chance to see them in July.  Afterwards, they hit Bertucci's with the family.

Patrick with Mom.

The boys and uncle Allen.

Jarod with Anna.

Andy and the boys, causin' trouble.

Three incredibly beautiful ladies... and some goofy guys.

J & P with the grandparents.

Alex with Anita... a stunning girl I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet.

Amy & the boys.

July 28
On their last day there, they went to the New England Aquarium.

Behind them is the Aquarium.

Riding some sea turtles!

At first, I couldn't figure out why Amy took this picture.  But upon further inspection, I see the humor.
