RPI Reunion 2006

Five years had passed and it was time for another reunion of the RPI gang.  I would say that this reunion was even more fun than the last.  We signed up for more of the structured events and it gave us opportunities to hang out with people we might have otherwise missed.  A special highlight was getting to hear Kobie speak about his work on the Mars rovers.

I had to be away from home on Jarod's birthday to attend my reunion.  Special thanks to my boy for being so understanding...

One of the first events we went to was the luau.  The food and drinks were plentiful.

It was nice to hang out with everyone and chit chat.

We had enough people to cause us to move tables around to accommodate.

Danielle and Steve.

Scott and Sue.  And the beginning of the hat trend.

Chris with the hat.

Eric with the hat.

Danielle with the hat.

Steve with the hat.

Lisa with the hat.

Daniel with the hat.

Keya with the hat.

Me with the hat... and a beer... and a balloon... and another beer.

On the second day, Scott, Sue & I walked around campus a bit.  Here's Scott in front of the Troy building.

Sue offered to help some people take a group photo.

Then she made some conversation... or got sucked into one.  Not sure...

I passed the time by taking a picture of the CII, DCC and JEC across the field.

We eventually got to my home away from home away from home... the VCC.  This building is what made my decision to go to RPI... a gutted out church filled with computers.  ;-)

We eventually made it into the Folsom Library.  The first floor is entirely different!

The second floor looked mostly the same.  Filled with troublemakers...

They're building a new media arts / performance center down the hill from the library.  It's going to be huge.

We stopped at the Armory for a BBQ style lunch at some point.  It was pretty good.

A little more site seeing brought us to the bottom of the CII stairwell where The Drop Squad perpetrated their shenanigans from 1992 to 1993.

We found our way down to the tunnels that I loved walking in while I was there.  It's always hard to figure out where to turn.

Scott & Amanda go head to head in a battle of table tennis in the Union.

On the 3rd floor of the Union, we got a bunch of '96ers together for a group photo.

We met for breakfast on the last day.  I was sad to see it ending...
