RPI Reunion 2001 - Travesty & Triumph

Update: Apparently, my final score was correct.  I was told by Jeff that I got a spare in the 10th frame and Lou was merely over-enthusiastic in filling the box in.  On top of that, the spare must've been gotten with a 0 and then a 10 for the score to be 108.  Jeff remembers it that way as well.  While I'm still suspicious, I will accept the information as fact.  :-)

It has recently come to my attention that a great injustice occurred while I was at RPI recently for my 5 year reunion.  Late Friday night, a heated battle arose between Jeff, Lisa, Lou and me.  The battleground: the Union bowling alley.

Early on in the match, Jeff and Lou were pulling ahead, all the while mocking those who were behind.  Lisa & I struggled to maintain our composure and confidence.  And for the most part, Lisa was able to persevere, maintaining a respectable score throughout.  Unfortunately, I was having a hard time coping with the mental anguish.

And then, when all seemed lost, two other class of 96ers came over.  Thinking Anne & Steve would provide moral support to me, I turned in their direction... only to have Steve belt out comments like "What kind of crap bowling is this?"

That was it.  The final straw.  I steeled myself against their comments... I drew on all the knowledge gained in my bowling classes at RPI... and I became the ball.

And then it happened.  One strike... two strikes... three strikes!  I was unstoppable.  And I went on to win the game.  Or did I?  Upon reviewing my score, I realized I was scored incorrectly... and even denied my final ball!  I now believe there was a grand conspiracy between Jeff & Lou to modify my score in the hopes of diminishing my skillz.  But even their fuzzy math couldn't prevent my win.  Why?  Because I'm the Sasquatch!  :-)
