Japan: March/April 2001

Here are some pictures from my Japan trip.  Note how they all are of the office.  There's a reason for that.  The coins are about the only part of Japan I've gotten to see yet.  :-)  Actually, I've been on the subway and have walked some of the streets.  Nothing major though... mainly just back and forth between the hotel and office... about a 7 minute walk.

These are all the coins you would find in Japan.  From the left is 1, 5, 10, 50 and 100 yen, with the 500 yen coin on the bottom.  The next size currency is the 1,000 yen bill.  If you want to see these coins in detail, get this very large image of the coins.
Walking into the Webridge office, you first see this hallway.  There is a decent size conference room on the immediate left (the door to which you can't see) and there are printers and photocopiers on the right (again unseen).  At the end of the cubicle hallway is a place to hang your jackets, as they are not brought inside (too far anyway).  On the left at the end of the hallway are Murano-san's and Takehana-san's desks.  I'm not sure who sits in the cube straight ahead.
Taking a right and another right brings you facing down the parallel hall.  (I took the previous picture from under the green light, to help put it in perspective.)  The second cube on the right belongs to Eguchi-san.  The one with the black chair holds Sean.  I'm stuck behind the easel working on the desk.
Along the left side of the hallway above you'll find Hara-san in his cube with all his cool gadgets.  He's got like 3 VAIO's in there.
In the cube right behind my desk... the last one on the left in the second hall, you'll find both Handa-san and the servers.  Note how Handa-san deftly works a keyboard with one hand and inserts a CD with another... all while using the machine as a seat.
And if you glance down at the floor, you'll see the network du jour at Webridge Japan.  Some of those cables brought you these wonderful pictures.
And lastly, turning around and facing back down the second hallway (from the easel), we find Sean chatting away with Kouda-san.
