| I was found in the Summer of 1994. DJ was enduring a Summer
semester at RPI at the time. On that fateful day, while DJ was watching a friend
play on his softball team, I crawled through the tall grass and came to sit before him and
stared up at him. I wasn't even 5 weeks old yet. I was scruffy, hungry and
worn out from being lost for so long. DJ thought I belonged to someone on the softball
team, but he soon found out he was wrong. He then went looking through all of the
nearby apartment complex. DJ thought he was on to something when he saw a bowl of
milk and cookie at someone's door, but they only saw me and were trying to help earlier.
Finally DJ realized he wasn't going to find anyone that knew me so he decided to take
me in himself. Right there at the softball game is where I got my name! One of
DJ's friends who knew how much he loved his hometown of Boston suggested that as my name.
It stuck!
I spent almost a year at RPI with DJ until I was found out by the school officials.
So then I moved in with DJ's grandma in Massachusetts for a while. After DJ
graduated from college, I went with him to Oregon with Amy. |
